You may have heard one of these stories where people tell you that you only have to turn your computer on, login to your trading account, start your trading robot and the money rushes in your account. But is this a real scenario or just a fiction and those who proclaim this are just scammers? Like always, you guessed it right, the truth lies somewhere in between.

So what do you have to do to find such a profitable Automated FX Trading Software?
Normally, you have to test dozens of systems to find one that is really profitable. And not just profitable in the short run but also in the long run. Don’t get me wrong on this one. Sure, everyone claims to have one that is profitable and will make you tons of money, but the reality can be very sobering. In fact after testing 79 Automated FX Online Trading Systems over the last 3 years myself and losing some of my hard earned money trading them, I can honestly say that 95% of them are pure crap when it comes to ROI (Return Of Investment) and RTR (Risk To Reward Ratio).

The majority of the Automated FX Trading Systems are working based on the Metatrader 4 Platform which is very common in the industry. Inside the platform those forex robots are called Expert Advisors or short EA’s. An EA is simply some piece of software that tells the MT4 Platform when to trade, which currency pair, which amount and how to trade it.

You can find tons of material on that subject on the internet. But I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much info. That being said, I will go straight to the points of interest:

The 5 Rules to find an Automated FX Trading Software that really works

1. Any advertiser of an EA that only shows you so called "back test results" isn’t worth your time and money. That’s the case, because back test results are only an informational source for programmers to get an idea if their system works in general or not. There are too many things involved that can falsify the results. In fact, back test results provide always better trading results than the live or forward testing/trading results ;-).

2. Only rely on the so called "forward trading/testing results". Forward trading results are simply real trading results.  Those are direct tests of a system under real market conditions and not tests with stored data, like back tests.

3. The Programmer/Trader/Advertiser should have a live stream of the trades. That way you can follow the trades, get a feeling for the trading methodology and you can look at all trades the EA takes whenever you want to.

4. The EA/robot should be easy to use with predefined settings with an integrated update service. That’s important, because otherwise you could spend a whole lifetime to optimize the settings and never get it right.

5. A Money-Back-Guarantee for the Trading Robot. Why? You can test it (Demo first!!!) and if it’s not that good or you can not get it right, simply request a refund and you gained some experience but haven’t lost any money.

That’s all there is to it. If you only look for and follow these simple key rules, you are well ahead of 95% of all other traders out there. And that’s what you are looking for, aren’t you? Wishing you all the success in your FX Trading Forex career!

Globally credit card fraud costs card issuers billions of dollars a year in fraudulent use of their cards. Some of this loss is passed back to retailers who failed to comply with the normal processing method for the card. Another part of the loss is insured. Nonetheless, as a cardholder you are potentially liable for any fraudulent use of your credit card. It is, therefore, imperative that you make yourself aware of what the current fraud scams are and how you can help to in the battle of credit card fraud prevention.

To this end, the following are some fraud prevention methods you can adopt:

* when using your card, never card out of your sight

* if you use the card in an old carbon-copy paper machine, keep the carbon-copy and destroy it later

* never use your credit card on an unsecured website

* never use your credit card to withdraw money in an ATM

Aside from the above, ensuring that you use certain technological advances with your credit card should also help in any credit card fraud prevention. In this regard, the following are currently popular with card issuers:

* identification photos: where your picture is shown on the front of the card

* fingerprinting: where a facsimile of your fingerprint is shown on the reverse of your card;

* chip and Pin systems: where the card has an encrypted chip containing details about the card and a PIN that ensures the card is a genuine issue. Essentially the chip contains the same information that used to be contained in the magnetic strip on the reverse of the card, but in chip format it is believed to be harder to copy.

Although each of these systems is no foolproof credit card fraud prevention method, with credit card fraud costing more and more each year, you can bet that issuers are going to be tackling this issue head-on: so stay aware of the latest credit card fraud preventions methods and help combat this growing problem.

What is better than cash? Stolen credit card is the answer. The situation worsen since the introduction of online shopping.

As such, it’s wise to be proactive in preventing such thing from happening to you. Furthermore, the responsibility always lies with credit card holders to safeguard their credit cards.

Here is a list of important Do’s and Don’ts to safeguard your credit card.

DO…

  • Always treat your cards like cash.
  • Keep your card number confidential.
  • Sign up your new cards as soon as they arrive and cut up the old cards when they expire.
  • Sign your credit card in permanent ink as soon as you receive it.
  • When making a purchase, ensure that the salesperson processes your transaction in your presence.
  • Check your card when it is returned to you by the cashier to ensure that it is yours and that it has not been tampered with any way.
  • Total your charge slip before signing in, as blank spaces serve as an invitation for unscrupulous individuals to ass additional amounts.
  • Always retain your receipts so that you can check them against your statement.
  • If unfamiliar transactions are posted on your statement, inform your card issuer straight away.
  • Keep your statements in a safe place - they contain sensitive information.
  • Before discarding old statements, even of closed accounts, shred them into small pieces.
  • Inform the card issuer when you are travelling overseas.
  • Notify card issuer of any change of address, so new cards/statements are not sent to the old mailing address.
  • Should your card be stolen or is lost, inform card issuer immediately. Always keep card issuer contact number at hand.
  • Only provide your SSN(Social Security Number) and credit card information to parties with whom you have initiated the call.

DON’T…

  • Never allow anyone else to use your card. It is yours and yours alone.
  • Never write your personal identification number(PIN) on your credit card.
  • That way you can avoid any unauthorized cash withdrawals from the automated teller machine(ATM)
  • Do not give any credit card information to individuals soliciting sales over the phone.
  • If you receive calls from a party claiming to be your card issuer and the caller requests for your account number, do not give it. If the call is from your card issuer, the caller would know your account number.
  • Do not sign a blank charge slip, draw a line through the lines above the total amount and destroy any carbon and cancelled receipts immediately.
  • Do not leave expired card lying around.

Within the United Kingdom, identity fraud has become one of
highest rating crimes to date. The UK government estimates
that each year identity fraud costs them 1.3 Billion.
Identity fraud has worked because many companies and people
in general have been convinced in some way to hand over
their items, documents or money. Identity fraud can remain
undetected for several months before anyone realizes what
has been done.

The UK has come up with an idea that is due in the year
2007. They intend to issue Identification cards that
contain information biometrically about the individual.
This information could come in the form of fingerprints or
an iris scan. Many people do not believe this will solve
the problem. No matter what the government does to protect
your identity, one thing will always remain the same. The
protection of your identity is largely your concern.

There are a few things that you can do in efforts to
prevent identity theft. This of course, is no guarantee,
but it is a great step in protecting yourself from thieves
and fraud.

When you are cleaning out your desk, do not simply throw
your personal items away. Items such as bank statements,
credit card statements, receipts and utility bills should
be destroyed. You could burn these items or obtain a
shredder. A shredder can do multiple things; it can destroy
your personal documents as well as compact discs or floppy
disks that could contain identifying information.
Additionally, some shredders will shred a credit card as
well.

Protect your credit cards just as you would your cash.
When you receive a new credit card, it should be signed by
you immediately. If you must destroy a credit card, you
should shred it by either using a shredder or cutting it
up thoroughly with scissors. If your credit card should
become stolen or lost, report it to the credit card
companies instantly, this will prevent the card from being
used. Another thing many people do not consider, is when
you are dining out, be watchful of letting your card out
of sight. One popular fraud is to simply take an imprint
or write down the numbers for use later.

Lastly, when you receive your credit card or bank
statements open and review them immediately. If you see
anything out of the ordinary upon the statements, you
should call the company right away and begin a
investigation into it. Additionally, if you should ever
notice your statement has not arrived on time, you should
make a telephone call to the company to investigate this.
It is possible that is has been routed to an address other
than your own.

Advice on Identity Fraud

Afraid you might be a victim of identity theft? Learn more about how you can report it.

If you are concerned that you have been the victim of identity fraud then it is important that you seek help immediately, to prevent the potential problems from escalating.

Firstly check you have all of your important identity documents such as passport and drivers license, and also check you have all of your credit and debit cards, building society withdrawal books, cheque books and so on. If anything is missing, report it to the relevant authority such as:

Passport Services (ww.ips.gov.uk) - to report a stolen or lost passport

Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (www.dvla.gov.uk) - to report a stolen or lost driver’s license.

Then you need to make a list of all of your existing financial responsibilities, such as loans, credit cards and bank accounts. Check through them all carefully (you can phone the relevant services to check up to date transactions) and make a note of any suspicious activity.

If you do suspect a problem contact the account provider immediately, so that they can prevent any further fraudulent activity from occurring. If this has happened on your main account you may also need to discuss with the provider a temporary overdraft facility, so that you have some money until the problem is resolved.

The next step is to request a copy of your credit report from one of the main credit reference agencies such as Equifax or Call Credit and check this carefully against your list of existing financial responsibilities. Make a note of any suspicious activity, such as applications for credit cards and loans you know nothing about, and report them to the credit reference agency who will then look into this for you.

If you are a victim of identity crime then there are various associations and services that can guide you on how to resolve your case satisfactorily, and also on how to prevent it from happening in the future. The Fraud Prevention Service (CIFAS) provides lots of information on identity crimes and how to apply for protective registration to give you additional protection at their website.

How to protect yourself from identity theft

Identity theft or fraud is a growing problem. Falling victim to this crime can damage your credit rating and finances. Learn how to protect yourself from id fraud and protect yourself from losing your good name.

Identity theft or fraud is fast becoming one of the biggest threats to your financial security and it can seriously damage you credit report and credit rating. Most people associate id theft with the internet but it is a much bigger problem than that. A lot of id fraud is committed in the offline world by criminals who may not be very web savvy. In other words, it is just plain old fashioned theft.

Some criminals will harvest card pin numbers by hanging around cash machines or shops. They will also go through your rubbish to obtain crucial personal data such as your utility bills or credit card statements. Essentially they are after something that can enable them to adopt your identity and then use it.

Consequences of your id being stolen

The main problem associated with identity fraud is credit related. You may also find it very difficult to obtain loans, mortgages or credit cards. However, damaged credit is not the only outcome of identity fraud. You can face the risk of criminals knowing more about you than you would like.

Once they have access to certain areas of your life it becomes much easier for them to learn more about you. They can use your personal documents to make further inroads into your id by obtaining other crucial documents such as passports or driving licences.

The thing you must ask yourself is - would you invite a criminal into your home? No, I thought not. By making sure you have identity theft prevention measures in place you protect your good credit and, more importantly, your family.

Id theft prevention - what can you do?

The good news is that identity theft prevention is something that you can control!

Buy paper shredders - get rid of sensitive documents such as bank statements and utility bills. The less you have lying around the less chance you will fall a victim of id theft.

Always monitor what is on your computer. Invest in good anti virus software and make sure that you are protected from spyware by regularly updating it and monitoring your computer with it all the time. Do not be tempted to turn it off.

You should ensure that your email is thoroughly checked as well because this is another way in which fraudsters can get at your identity. Phishing is becoming more and more prevalent as a method that criminals use to steal your identity. Lock your mailboxes and make sure your good name stays safe!

Do not fall victim to internet hoaxes or scams - these normally take the form of chain emails. On the outside they look perfectly innocent but in reality they can be an unlawful attempt at id theft.

Be very careful when using instant messaging - again, this is an activity that appears harmless but, in truth, it can be used by criminals to steal your id.

Be very careful about what you download from the internet as your id can be stolen by malware that installs itself on to your pc and then secretly records everything that you do. This can include your log in details for your online banking, recording of your email and instant messaging and much more! Malware can leave you seriously at risk of identity theft - prevent it from happening by protecting your pc.

Invest in a good credit monitoring organisation such as Lifelock - organisations like this can not only buy you peace of mind, they can save you from the pain of damaged credit by protecting you from identity fraud in the first place.

Identity theft is a huge problem. But if you take the steps to protect yourself from id fraud there is no reason why you need fall victim to this growing crime. Preventing identity theft will save you a lot of grief in the long run.
